| Reachout
is proud to announce that we have successfully completed one
year with the aid & support of philanthropist like you.
On account of our first anniversary celebration we have conducted
a "Health Camp" in Kamarajapuram, the first slum that
Reachout had adopted. This is an urban slum in the Heart of
the city Chennai, which has about 18 huts and 28 families living
in them. Kamarajapuram has been adopted by Reachout for the
past one year and has helped them in various ways.
The Health camp took place on the 5th and 6th
of September, 2003 at Kamarajapuram (off: G.N.Chetty Road, near
Sathya Murthi School, Chennai-17).
As a part of this programme Reeds Medicare Lab
did Blood Test along with other basic tests for all the people
there, followed by doctor examination the next day. A renouned
doctor, Dr. Sai Krishnan, MMBS, MD, did the medical examination.
Gifts were also distributed to them on behalf of Reachout.
Further more Mrs. Dhanalakshmi, a Dietician
by profession, conducted a seminar on "Health and Hygiene" for
one and a half hours. She also gave them a detailed explanation
on nutritious food and how they can cook them and make them
available for their children and family at affordable prices.
For all those who assisted us in this venture,
thanks for your support and we ask for your continued patronage;
for those of you who decide to make a contribution this year,
join the proud family of sponsors who strengthen our resolve
in making the dreams of our underprivileged brethren happen.
