The beach has been the
play ground for the children of the fishermen for years.
The Tsunami not only destroyed their houses and belongings
but also engraved a great fear in the hearts of the children
for the sea.
In an attempt at building up the morale of these children
and trying to bring them out of their trauma the government
has requested play pens to be built at the various coastal
villages of Tamil Nadu.
Reachout has been allocated two such villages namely SALANGAI
NAGAR, Cuddalore and KILLAI MEENAVAR COLONY, Chidambaram.
With the successful installation of the parks, the children
have begun to come out and play once again, and Reachout
thereby succeeded in bringing smiles on the faces of their
family too.
True to our motto of “make smiles, change lives”,
we have taken this first step of helping the children
to smile once again.
